Tracy Byrd is an avid triathlete who also trains individuals and groups in the areas of fitness and performance athletics. She is a Fleet Feet Sports Certified Trainer.
Tracy has a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and spent many years as a Senior Pharmaceutical Sales Representative.
Her sporting accomplishments consist of 6 marathons in which she qualified for the Boston Marathon in five out of six events. She has run multiple half marathons, 10k and 5k distance races placing in the top five in her age division in a majority of them. At the age of 50 Tracy competed in the Redman Full Ironman Triathlon and was the 10th overall female and first in her age group. In 2013, she completed Ironman Louisville placing 10th in her age group. In 2014, Tracy had a podium finish at Ironman Maryland placing fifth in her age group. 2014 Ironman US ranking in her age group is 58th .
Tracy is currently the Everyman Series Event Director for GPP NWA, has served as Race Director of the Fayetteville Half Marathon and 5k for four years and the Primal Challenge, a 4-mile 15 military-grade-obstacle-race for two years. She also was the event director for the Northwest Arkansas American Heart Association 5k and 1-mile fun-run.
Tracy successfully fundraised for the following major projects in public school health and fitness: a new playground at Dakota Valley Elementary school (Dakota Dunes, SD), the Bob Kraynik Community Sports Complex at Vandergriff Elementary and the Fayetteville High School Tennis Complex completion.
Working outside the home, competing for the past 15 years and raising two boys who play or have played competitive and collegiate tennis gives Tracy a unique understanding of what it takes to stay active and healthy for life. She enjoys helping people find a sustainable connection with health and fitness.
